Print-on-demand lets you sell products with your own designs — T-shirts, hoodies, hats, mugs, phone cases, posters, framed prints and more — without buying stock. Nothing is printed until a customer orders. Your print partner then produces the item and ships it to your customer under your brand, and you keep the difference between your price and their cost.
On MultiVendor you connect your own print-on-demand account under Products → Integrations → Print-on-demand. Today you can browse Printful's catalog (even before connecting), Printify blueprints and Gooten's catalog, look up Prodigi products by SKU with live cost quotes, and connect a Gelato account. Pick products, set your pricing rules — markup, margin or fixed profit, minimum profit, rounding and payment fees — and import them as drafts with the estimated profit shown up front.
Design upload and placement, mockup images, the AI product designer and automatic order submission to your print partner are being built next, together with online checkout. We'll label each one clearly as it goes live, and we'll never say a provider is connected unless your account really is.
How it works
- 1
Choose a print partner
Pick the partner whose products, print quality and shipping regions suit you. Each one lists what works on MultiVendor today.
- 2
Connect your own account
Paste your API token or key. It's encrypted and only used for your store — on a marketplace, each seller connects their own.
- 3
Browse and import products
Search the catalog, choose the products you want to sell and import them as drafts with supplier cost and variants.
- 4
Price, design and publish
Set your selling price with your profit rules, add your artwork and photos, then publish. Paid orders appear in Orders → Supplier orders for you to place.

Print partners on MultiVendor
Partly availableYou use your own print-on-demand account, so production, billing and shipping stay between you and your partner. MultiVendor provides the store, the product tools and the connection — never a share of your sales.
- Printful: public catalog browsing, connect with a private token, import with variant costs
- Printify: connect with a personal access token, browse blueprints
- Gooten: connect with your Recipe ID, browse the catalog
- Prodigi: connect (sandbox or live), look up products by SKU with cost quotes
- Gelato: connect and check your account (catalog import next)
Pricing that protects your profit
AvailablePrint-on-demand margins depend on the base cost, shipping and payment fees. The pricing assistant calculates your selling price from your rules and shows the estimated profit and margin before you import, warning you when a margin is too thin.
- Percentage markup, profit margin or fixed profit per item
- Minimum profit per sale
- Supplier shipping included or separate
- Payment fee estimate (your Stripe or PayPal rate)
- Rounding to .99, .95 or whole amounts
- Currency conversion rate you confirm
Designs, mockups and the AI designer
Coming soonUpload your artwork, place it on the product and generate mockup images through your print partner's mockup service. The AI designer will let you describe a design — for example “a minimalist mountain line drawing for a T-shirt” — review it and approve it before anything is published. Image-quality checks and a rights reminder come built in: only sell artwork you have the rights to use commercially.
- Artwork upload and placement
- Mockups from Printful and Printify
- AI design suggestions you approve
- Print-resolution checks
- Rights and trademark reminders
Orders and fulfilment
Partly availableWhen a buyer pays for a print-on-demand product, a supplier order with the design, variant and address appears in Orders → Supplier orders for you to place with your print partner. The tracking you add is emailed to your customer. Automatic submission to your print partner is coming.
- Order submission to your own account
- Confirm manually or automate
- Production and shipping status
- Tracking for your customer
- Error notifications from production
For every type of store
How print-on-demand works when you sell merchandise, digital downloads, online courses or online events.
Merchandise
Print-on-demand is merchandise without stock: apparel, hats, mugs, bags and home goods carrying your designs. They sit in your Merchandise department next to anything you make or stock yourself.
Sell merchandise →Digital downloads
Pair digital designs with physical prints: sell a printable poster as a download and the same artwork as a framed print or canvas from Prodigi or Gelato.
Sell digital downloads →Online events
Workshops, conferences and community events can offer custom shirts, tote bags and posters, printed only when people order.
Host online events →Online courses
Course creators can sell branded merchandise — workbooks, mugs, T-shirts — to their students alongside their courses.
Sell online courses →Get the most out of it
Order samples first
Order a sample of every product before you sell it, so you know the print quality, sizing and packaging your customers will receive.
Price for the full cost
Include shipping, payment fees and the occasional reprint in your price. The pricing assistant shows your real profit per item.
Use your own artwork
Only sell designs you created, licensed or have permission to use. Avoid trademarks, characters and celebrity images.
Choose partners close to your buyers
Partners with production near your customers deliver faster and cheaper — check each partner's production regions.
Questions and answers
What is print-on-demand?+
Print-on-demand means a product is printed only after a customer orders it. Your print partner produces and ships it, so you don't hold stock.
Which print-on-demand partners can I connect?+
Printful, Printify, Gooten, Prodigi and Gelato. Each partner card shows what works today; catalog browsing and import work for Printful, Printify, Gooten and Prodigi (by SKU).
Do I need my own Printful or Printify account?+
Yes. You connect your own account so production, billing and shipping are between you and your partner, and your earnings stay yours.
Does MultiVendor take a commission on print-on-demand sales?+
No. MultiVendor charges one flat monthly subscription and takes nothing from your sales. Your print partner charges for production and shipping, and your payment provider charges its processing fees.
Can buyers order print-on-demand products now?+
Yes. Buyers pay through checkout, and a supplier order is prepared for you to place with your print partner. Automatic order submission is coming.
Will there be an AI designer?+
Yes, it's being built. You'll describe a design, review what the AI creates and approve it before publishing — and only artwork you have the rights to sell should be used.
Can marketplace sellers use print-on-demand?+
Yes, if the marketplace owner allows it in Settings. Each seller connects their own print-on-demand account; the owner can't see their keys.
Where are my API keys stored?+
They're encrypted and only used to talk to your print partner for your store. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the saved key.
