When you sell online, the hardest question is often the simplest one: what is actually working? You post on Instagram, hand out flyers at a market, send a link to a newsletter and ask a friend with a following to share your shop. Without tracking, every visitor looks the same and you're left guessing where to spend your time.

MultiVendor gives every store and marketplace built-in tracking from day one. Each short link you create counts its clicks and carries standard campaign tags, so you can see which post, flyer, QR code or partner sends people to your products. Affiliate links count their clicks too, so you know which recommendations people act on.

This is the first part of our analytics. Link, campaign and affiliate click tracking works today. A full dashboard for orders, revenue, best-selling products, traffic sources and conversion is being built and will arrive alongside online checkout — for shop owners, and for marketplace owners across all their sellers.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create a short link

Pick a product, category or page and create a trackable short link on your own store address, in the form {store}/l/{code}.

  2. 2

    Tag the campaign

Your link carries standard UTM campaign tags — source, medium and campaign — so each post, flyer or partner can have its own link.

  3. 3

    Share it anywhere

Post it on social media, add it to an email, print it as a QR code on packaging or a poster, or give it to a partner.

  4. 4

    Compare the clicks

See how many clicks each link received, and compare campaigns side by side to decide where to focus next.

Everything included

Trackable short links

Available

Every store and marketplace can create short links on its own address. Each link points to the page you choose and counts every click, so you can see exactly how much attention a single post, story, flyer or message produced. Because the link lives on your own store address, it looks trustworthy and keeps your brand in front of buyers.

  • Short links in the form {store}/l/{code} on your own store address
  • Point a link at a product, a category or any page of your store
  • Click count for every link
  • Create a separate link for each post, channel or partner
  • Works for all four departments: merchandise, digital downloads, courses and events

Campaign tags that work with Google Analytics

Available

Short links add standard UTM campaign tags, the same tags that Google Analytics and most other analytics tools read. That means you can measure a campaign in MultiVendor and in the analytics tool you already use, with consistent names for each source and campaign.

  • Standard UTM tags for source, medium and campaign
  • Compatible with Google Analytics and other tools that read UTM tags
  • Consistent naming across social posts, emails and print
  • No extra setup needed — tags are added to your short links

QR codes for offline marketing

Available

Not every customer finds you online. Every short link can be turned into a printable QR code, so you can track flyers, posters, business cards, product packaging, market stalls and event signs the same way you track a social post. When someone scans the code, the click is counted against that link.

  • Printable QR code for each short link
  • Track flyers, posters, packaging and business cards
  • Use different codes for different locations or events
  • See which printed material actually brings visitors

Affiliate click tracking

Available

If you add affiliate listings from programs such as Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network, Awin or Impact.com, MultiVendor counts the clicks on each affiliate button. Links go directly to the merchant without a redirect through us, and the commissions themselves are tracked and paid by the affiliate program in your own program account.

  • Click counts on every affiliate button
  • Links go straight to the merchant — no redirect
  • Disclosure shown next to every affiliate button
  • Commissions reported and paid by the affiliate program

Sales, traffic and conversion dashboard

Available

One dashboard brings your numbers together: visitors, page and product views, questions to sellers, checkouts, paid orders and revenue (from real orders, not estimates), with a daily chart, a sales funnel, traffic sources, UTM campaigns, devices, countries and what people search for. Pick 7, 30, 90 days or 12 months and download it all as CSV. It's privacy-friendly: no cookies, no stored IP addresses, bots excluded.

  • Orders and revenue over time
  • Best-selling products, courses and events
  • Traffic sources and top pages
  • Conversion from visit to purchase
  • Marketplace-wide view across all sellers for marketplace owners

Your data stays yours

Available

Each marketplace's data is isolated and access-checked on the server, so your clicks and campaigns are never mixed with or shown to another marketplace. Buyer payments go through each seller's own Stripe or PayPal account, so detailed payment reports are also available in your own provider dashboard.

  • Each marketplace's data kept separate
  • Access checked on the server for every request
  • Payment reports in your own Stripe or PayPal dashboard
  • Your data is exportable

For every type of store

How analytics works when you sell merchandise, digital downloads, online courses or online events.

Merchandise

Give each product drop, colour launch or market stall its own short link or QR code, and see which one people actually click. Printed QR codes on packaging and swing tags let you measure repeat interest from customers who already bought.

Sell merchandise →

Digital downloads

Digital products are usually sold through social posts, newsletters and creator communities. A separate link per channel shows whether your e-book, template pack or sample library gets more interest from Pinterest, a YouTube description or your email list.

Sell digital downloads →

Online events

Events have a deadline, so you need to know fast which promotion is working. Use a different link or QR code for each partner, poster and social post, and compare clicks in the days before your webinar, workshop or seminar.

Host online events →

Online courses

Course sales often depend on a long path: a free preview lesson, a social post, a webinar mention. Tagged links for each step show which content sends people to your course page, so you can invest more in the channels that work.

One link per placement

Don't reuse the same link everywhere. A separate link for each post, email and flyer is what makes the click counts useful.

Name campaigns consistently

Pick a simple naming habit for your campaign tags, such as the month and channel, so reports in Google Analytics stay easy to read.

Bring offline online

Put a QR code on every printed item — packaging, receipts, posters, event signs. It's the easiest way to see whether print is worth the cost.

Check your provider reports

Until the sales dashboard arrives, your Stripe or PayPal dashboard is the best place to see payment totals once checkout goes live.
