Sell textures and material packs

Texture makers can open a MultiVendor Market shop, upload packs as digital downloads with a free preview render and license terms, and use options for resolution or map sets. Buyers download straight after purchase and pay you directly through your own Stripe or PayPal account.

Tips for selling textures

  • Show a rendered preview on a sphere or plane, plus a tiled view to prove the texture is seamless.
  • List every included map, its resolution and bit depth, and the normal map convention.
  • Use options for resolution tiers so buyers can choose the size they need.
  • Name files consistently, such as material_basecolor and material_normal, so they import cleanly.
  • State whether textures may be used in games, renders and products for resale.

Start a texture and material marketplace

Build a marketplace for 3D artists or designers on your own domain, with categories by material and use. MultiVendor's AI builder sets up structure, branding and seller requirements such as map standards and preview renders, and sellers are paid directly through their own accounts.

Ideas to start from

  • → A PBR material marketplace for indie game developers
  • → A scanned natural textures marketplace — stone, bark, soil, foliage
  • → A paper, film and grunge overlay marketplace for graphic designers

Questions about selling textures

Can I sell textures photographed from real surfaces?

Yes, as long as you took the photos and the surfaces don't include logos, artwork or other copyrighted designs you don't have rights to.

How should I package large texture sets?

Group maps for each material in a folder, compress the set as a ZIP archive and consider offering lower-resolution options as smaller downloads.

Where does my money go when a pack sells?

Directly into your own Stripe or PayPal account. MultiVendor charges a subscription for the software and never holds your sales.
