Wallpapers are among the most personal downloads: a background you'll look at many times a day. Independent artists and photographers sell landscape and nature photos, minimal and abstract designs, illustrated scenes, seasonal sets and matching packs for phone, tablet and desktop.
Screens come in many shapes, so good wallpaper listings include several sizes — tall vertical files for phones, widescreen and ultrawide files for monitors, and sometimes dual-monitor versions. High-resolution files, including 4K desktop sizes, stay sharp on high-density displays.
Most wallpapers are sold for personal use on your own devices. If you want to use one in a video, website or product, that's a different use and needs a broader license. Previews show the design, while the paid download gives you the full-resolution files.
Picking wallpapers that fit your screen
- Check that the pack includes a size close to your screen's resolution and aspect ratio.
- On phones, leave room for the clock and app icons — look for previews showing the lock and home screen.
- For ultrawide or dual monitors, look for files made for those formats instead of stretching a standard image.
- Wallpaper licenses are usually personal; ask the seller before using one in content, streams or products.
- Matching phone and desktop sets keep your devices consistent — check whether a set covers both.
Questions about wallpapers
How do I set a downloaded wallpaper on my phone?
Download the image to your phone's photo library or files, then choose it in your device's wallpaper settings. Pick the file sized for phones so it doesn't crop awkwardly.
Can I use a wallpaper as a background in my videos or streams?
Personal wallpaper licenses usually don't cover public or commercial content. Message the seller or look for a listing that offers a commercial license option.
Why does my wallpaper look blurry?
The file may be smaller than your screen resolution. Download the largest size included, or ask the seller whether a higher-resolution version is available.
