Online contests are live events where people compete from wherever they are. A quizmaster runs rounds on the organizer's meeting or streaming tool while players answer through a form, chat or app; a puzzle hunt releases clues that teams race to solve; an escape-room style challenge walks a team through locked puzzles together.
Popular formats include general knowledge trivia, themed quizzes on music, film or history, picture and audio rounds, cryptic puzzle hunts, speed typing or mental arithmetic contests and game-show style events with buzzers and lifelines. Many work for solo players, households or office teams.
On MultiVendor Market, each contest is listed by an independent host, with the date, time zone, team rules and what players need. The link is emailed only to registered participants.
Read the scoring rules and any rules on looking things up. If prizes are offered, contest rules vary by location, so check local rules.
Joining an online contest
- Check whether you play solo or as a team, and the team size allowed.
- Know which tools you need — often a video call on one device and answers on another.
- Read the rules on searching for answers; most quizzes ban it.
- Confirm the start time in your time zone and log in a few minutes early.
- Choose themed quizzes that match your team's strengths.
Questions about online contests
Can my team play from different places?
Usually yes, if the host allows remote teams. Teammates can coordinate on their own call while joining the main event.
How do I get the link for an online quiz?
After registering, the host emails you the joining link and any answer form. Only registered participants receive it.
Is it possible to book a private quiz for a group?
Ask the host through their shop. Many quizmasters run private events for friends, families or teams.
