A product showcase is a chance to see a range of products presented by the people who make them. In-person showcases include maker fairs, designer trunk shows and pop-up previews where you can handle products and talk to makers. Online showcases feature several makers presenting in turn, showing their collections on camera and taking questions.
Showcases are popular for handmade goods, fashion and accessories, homewares, art, food and drink, and small-batch products. Organizers might be a maker collective, a shop, a community group or a single brand previewing a new collection.
Use a showcase to compare makers and ask about materials, sizing, customization and shipping. Since each maker sells through their own shop, you can follow up with any of them directly after the event.
