Geographic data describes where things are. GIS analysts, urban planners, real estate researchers, logistics teams, environmental scientists, app developers and cartographers use it to map, analyze and build location-aware products.
Listings include vector data like boundaries, postal areas, building footprints, roads and points of interest; raster data such as elevation models, land cover and imagery derivatives; and cleaned compilations of open geodata joined with demographic or business attributes. Formats include GeoJSON, shapefile, GeoPackage, KML and GeoTIFF.
Check the coordinate reference system, spatial accuracy and resolution, the date of capture, attribute definitions and the source license. Many geodatasets are derived from open sources with attribution or share-alike requirements that carry through to what you build.
