Research publications are in-depth documents built on original data, analysis or fieldwork. On MultiVendor Market they include independent industry and market reports, white papers, policy briefs, academic monographs and working papers, technical studies, survey results, and literature reviews. Sellers are independent analysts, consultancies, small research institutes and academics publishing outside traditional journals.
These are typically PDF, with charts, tables, methodology sections and references. Some come with data appendices or spreadsheets. Licenses matter here: a single-reader license is different from a license to share inside an organization or quote extensively in your own reports.
Look for the methodology, sample size or data sources, the publication date and the author's credentials. Check the license for internal sharing and citation, and treat research as one input into your decisions rather than professional advice.
Evaluating a research publication
- Read the abstract or executive summary preview to confirm scope and relevance.
- Check the methodology and data sources so you can judge how robust the findings are.
- Note the publication date — research ages quickly in fast-moving fields.
- Confirm the license: single reader, team or organization-wide sharing.
- See whether data appendices or spreadsheets are included if you need the underlying numbers.
Questions about research publications
Can I share a research report with my company?
Only if the license allows it. Many sellers offer options for single-user and organization licenses. Check the listing.
Can I cite a research report I bought?
Citing with attribution is normal practice. Reproducing large sections or charts may need permission — check the license or ask the seller.
Is there a preview before I buy?
Many sellers share an executive summary or table of contents as a free preview. Look for it on the listing.
