Sell with us →About digital paintings
Digital paintings are created with digital brushes on a tablet or computer, often emulating oil, watercolor, gouache or acrylic. Artists on MultiVendor Market sell landscapes and seascapes, moody abstracts, florals and still life, cityscapes, fantasy and science-fiction concept art, and atmospheric scenes.
They're sold as high-resolution image files for printing as wall art, using as desktop or phone wallpapers, or, with the right license, for book covers and editorial use. Check the pixel dimensions and recommended maximum print size.
Ask the artist about commercial licensing if you want to use a painting for an album cover, book or product, and check whether they offer limited or exclusive licenses.
Buying a digital painting
- Check the pixel dimensions and recommended maximum print size.
- Look for print-ready ratios if you'll frame it.
- Ask about commercial licenses for covers, albums or products.
- Check whether wallpaper versions for desktop and phone are included.
- Choose matte paper for painterly textures and glossy for vivid digital color.
Questions about digital paintings
Can I use a digital painting as a book cover?
Only with a commercial license that covers it. Message the artist about cover licensing.
Is a digital painting an original?
It's original art created digitally. When you buy a download, you get a copy of the file with the license described, not ownership of the artwork.
Can I use it as a wallpaper?
For personal use, usually yes. Some artists include wallpaper sizes.
